I have just finished a solar panel upgrade on my Cali Ex and replaced the wet acid leisure battery that was fitted with a Gel battery. The solar charge controller is set to Gel, so everything good from my side.
But I understand there is a microswitch behind the Cali's control panel to select which type of battery is installed. I can't find anything on it online, except that it switches between "Sunshine" and "Deta". What are these? I'm not sure if the previous owner ever bothered to look into this before he installed a wet battery, but I can't live without knowing that it's set properly. Please, dudes and dudesses!
