I want to do the same thing . Anyone know if the old T5 rack can swap mounting parts with the new style T6 rack to make the new style rack fit a T5? (And in the process get a T5 rack that fits a T6 too)

The price that used racks go for, by the time you pay for modifying it, you would have been better off selling up and buying a new T6 rack.

I have the old style T5 rack on my T6 - it seems in almost all detail they are the same rack, apart from the top brackets which are different to allow for a different rear door profile on the T6. So you might be able to modify a T5 rack to fit onto a T6 - not heard of anyone doing it tho ?.
