Alot of us go to the toilet in the corner of our bedrooms all the time only we call it an Ensuite.
So going in the Cali aint all that different.

Yes, but the en-suite normally has a door between bedroom and Loo. Well, all the ones I've seen have.

You can always hang a curtain at the end of the bed. Keep you warm too, like a four poster bed

I note from the Bilbao site that the "Conversion " only has a 2 yr or 24,000 mile warranty, whereas the base van has the standard 3 yr VW UK warranty.
So if I'd bought one it would be out of warranty next week.

Consider yourselves lucky, in France (as I believe in the rest of Europe) we only get a 2 year warranty, so any problems with my Nov 2013 Cali and I'm on my own!

Regarding shortening the lower bed: a swiss guy have made it on his T5 cali.
