Bonnet respray?

Anyone had experience in having any respray to their Cali? Have a very experienced and trustworthy guy willing to do some work but some say it will never match and over time I will notice the difference! Anybody have some experience re this?

Not had it done but had a quote from shorade when van in for roof. Around £500 !
