Custom build - 2020 Westfalia Club Joker 4Motion - Offroad build thread

Hi been following your thread for a while as I have same base van and have done few similar mods .
I have just purchase the Ecoflow wave 3 Aircon unit and want to run it on drivers seat RWD and double vent out and in through the drivers window. What did you do ? Thanks

The problem with doing that is the drain point. Perhaps they fixed it with the Wave 3, but with the Wave 2 it doesn’t completely drain properly and when you move it water can drip all over the seats, etc.

What I do is place it on the stove hob with an ikea mat that fits (to prevent any scratching) and have it drain into the sink with the exhaust going out the upper window above the sink. I then made a cover with Velcro that attaches to the headliner around the window to prevent any air leakage. Note, this window was optional on the club joker and I’m glad I have it!

Thanks - with the wave 3 it runs until it needs to drain - then you press a button and drain it ( I can do this out of the door. Your approach is an alternative for me as well as I have that window above the sink . Thanks

Ok, hopefully it’s better than the Wave 2. I can also have it evaporate so it doesn’t need the drain but in humid environments this is useless.
