Discovery Media touchscreen.

Our 2016 Ocean RNS 510 touchscreen has died. Randomly selects buttons on its own. There is software update online for £75 but no information suggests this will fix it.
We have been living with a faulty touch screen for a while but finally decided to send the unit to https://inglebyelectronics.co.uk and for £275 they repaired it and it is as good as new. Excellent service fixed in under a week including postage time.

I have similar problems with Discover Media PQ VWN on my T6 2016.... I found here in Croatia guy who promised for 200€ will work perfectly. I will keep you guys updated.

Mine loosing memory of bluetooth, radio station and app connect dont work...

I know this is an old post but our touch screen stopped working on the right hand side recently. Contacted VW who will only replace the entire unit upwards of £2500.

From the number of people with the same issue it looks like a common problem that VW (yet again) are refusing to acknowledge.

Found a local audio specialist who will replace just the touch screen. It was a fraction of the cost of VW and he said that VW always get him to replace the faulty screens of cars brought in a trade-ins but VW will not offer the service direct to customers as the whole unit makes them more profit.
Who did you get to do this? I have the same issue on my 2016 Ocean. TIA

A new touch screen is about £15 on ebay, and takes about a hour to do yourself, best to remove unit from vehicle and check part number to order the correct screen. The new screen lays over the top of the old one which is bonded to the display. you will need some instrument screwdrivers with torx heads and a strong pair of glasses or young eyes.
