Not surprisingly it was cancelled at the winds were too strong to erect the marquees safely.
We are hoping that the winds die down by this time next week. I wouldn't have fancied being up on that cliff top last night!

Still laughing about the seagull!

Hi
If anyone is interested we have a cofortz
Leisure California camping room for sale
Only been used a couple of times still
Like new. You can see and check specifications on comforz leisure’s website.
https://www.comfortzleisure.net/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=42
When we had this made we asked them to add a wind break on the bottom of the awning and a separate wind break that fits the bottom of the van ( need to have side bars for this to fit into) also bigger windows.
It’s £400 from comfortz not including the extras we had fitted on this one.
Asking £350 but offers are welcome
If anyone is interested we can bring it along to the meet next week please let me know
Thanks Iain

Tenby lives indoors then and not (fixed) on the roof??

Like-minded people and an abundance of information and ideas about your Cali. Every Cali owner should do at least one meet (it surprised me and I'm still learning about my van!) Just make sure you talk to everyone and ask questions - it's a lot of fun and in my experience and to my relief not at all cliquey.

Totally agree with @dayslikethis. Our main worry about our first meet was it was going to be a cliquey group and it was so far from this as everyone was so friendly and you just do your own thing. Basically it's a gathering of like minded people in a field nothing more, nothing less. We ended up spending the evening with our neighbouring Cali and shared a few bottles of Prosecco together. In the day we walked around picking up tips and tricks from other Cali owners.

If you have never been to a meet, I highly recommend it.

I think we have on 6 or 7 meets since April 2017 when we took delivery of our Cali. Not in any order - Stratford on Avon, Brean, Gloucester, Tenby, Devon, Mansfield, France, Denmark, also been to 9 different countries in this time too so if we can pass on our experiences drop by. All were great fun. We've met some great people and have always learnt on our way and we are coming back for more!! Don't be shy as Boris has already said - if you want to know or are just plain curious just stop by and start chatting. I am especially looking forward to this meet as the number of vans is over 55 - We must be able to find some new tricks/tips/ideas/solutions. Can't wait!

You'll meet some great people and have a wonderful time. Bringing your own chair and glass is obligatory I'm afraid. If you arrive clutching a bottle as well you'll be very welcome indeed. :thumb Just don't be shy.

Our kettle is always on.
(Don’t mention the goat’s heads ;))

Tenby lives outdoors guarding the house but he comes on selected travels with me. Alas couldn't really find a way of attaching him to the roof or bonnet great as that would have been :)

PLEASE READ IF ATTENDING THIS MEET

This meet was originally for around 40 vans however it has now grown to nearly 80 Cali's now. Here are a few reminders for anyone attending, especially anyone attending for the first time

1. Arrival time on Friday is from 3pm onwards, some people ignore this but we have a set arrival time for a reason.

2. When you arrive at the campsite you must check in at reception first. Once checked in please follow the signs to the rally field and wait to be checked in by one of the volunteers who will take down your details and direct you to your pitch

3. Last arrival time on Friday evening is 9pm

4. Day visitors are Saturday ONLY - please follow signs to the rally field, please do not come to the site on Sunday

5. This is just a casual rally to meet other Cali owners, please do not expect to see any live entertainment, a show 'n' shine or fairground rides, we do however plan to have a quiz in the bar on Saturday evening but space will be limited.

6. This is a joint meet with the Marco Polo Owners Club - Please be nice to them and no fighting, we have asked the same from them.

Any questions please let us know before Thursday
