California Club Meet End of Year Meet and Open Day 11th November

No need for that Judith il put one aside for you

It will be great to meet other owners for the first time after only getting our Beach in May.

Are people staying at the campsite for Friday or Saturday night? Is there anything planned as it will be getting dark at 4.30pm. Local pub for a meal would be nice?

That was nice & easy to do. Looking forward to seeing lots of people there.
Are many staying over to make a weekend of it?

We are staying for Friday night & Saturday night

We are making a weekend of it! Booked into Tall Trees for two nights. Looking forward to meeting a few more members as well as those we already bumped into both in the UK and France.

No van yet for us so not stopping over, just a flying visit on the sat to see some of the mattress toppers and other bits in the flesh. I'm sure the CC will take a hit and the boot will be overflowing by the time we leave.

There is a pub very close to the site ' The Foxglove ' about a five minute walk . There is also an ASDA , Costa Coffee, Kentucky Chicken thingy and a fish and chip shop too all on the same place . The pub does get very busy and you may need to book .
We live about 5 minutes away from Tall Trees and never knew it was for camping as it's normally a static site .

Good tip! Thanks Leslie. We are booked in the Foxglove for 19:30 on Friday night, anyone joining us? You would be more than welcome. We can try and get the landlord to put some tables together or just share some drinks after we eat.......

Great news, we already have 30 booked up so far, still plenty more room left :)

Once we get to Tall Trees we will put up a sign in one of our windows with our screen and real name on it to make it easier to ID us!! Something like this:

Ah good stuff , unfortunately I won't be available until after 9pm , if you guys are still there we could pop over for a pint or 2 !

Hi Everyone, just had a call from the owner of the Foxglove. They are closed from 6th Nov for a refurbishment and apologises but his booking system let him down. So, if you booked for dinner on Friday and/or Saturday you may get a phone call this morning......
Other places in the area? The Black Bull at Mansfield Woodhouse? The Taphaus (nice continental beers apparently. @Martin any thoughts on this?

Sorry I don't know this area at all, it might be worth speaking to Nick.

Just for the record I think we only have four people booked in for camping so far.

I am sorry we can't make it for camping now so there is a an available pitch going, we are still hoping to get to the open day though.
