California Club Meet End of Year Meet and Open Day 11th November

Sorry I don't know this area at all, it might be worth speaking to Nick.

Just for the record I think we only have four people booked in for camping so far.
As a matter of interest @Martin does that include me?

I think.6 people have booked now

Coming up for the Saturday. Would be interested in reserving work top protector. Thanks

Looking forward to this, will there be stuff for kids to do on the day?

Oh OK. I have just found my ticket from Eventzilla (as per my edit) so I am guessing everything is OK? (My order ref is 201710219312-3506185).

Hi Everyone, just had a call from the owner of the Foxglove. They are closed from 6th Nov for a refurbishment and apologises but his booking system let him down. So, if you booked for dinner on Friday and/or Saturday you may get a phone call this morning......
Other places in the area? The Black Bull at Mansfield Woodhouse? The Taphaus (nice continental beers apparently. @Martin any thoughts on this?
Hi John ,
The Black Bull is about 20 mins walk from Tall Trees .
It’s not a place we’ve ever eaten or drank at , little bit cheap and cheerful. There is the Tap Haus or another one a minute away from there is The Coopers. Both have good reviews from friends who have been there .
There is a small family run Italian , Rossinis ,where you can take your own wine which is probably a few minutes drive from the site , also en route to Coopers and Tap Haus .
It would definitely be a taxi or Cali ride to get to though .

Thanks Leslie, John is not my real name I just used it on my ID illustration in earlier post. Sorry to cause confusion! The note on my window will show it correctly!

I'm not sure where to choose now so will probably make a decision on the day depending on how we feel. Sometimes a nice soft French or Italian cheese and a glass (or two) of red is all I need!!

Any change on this and I will let you know.

Lol ! I thought it didn’t seem right as I wrote John, I thought it was Rik . If I’m forgiven, I’ll forgive you for spelling my name incorrectly!
Hopefully see you at some point that weekend wherever that maybe . Oh and definitely with you on the glass of red

lol and thanks - sorryyyyy!

The shop have sent a PM to all forum campers at Tall Trees so we chat amongst ourselves. I will post about a potential evening get together later.

We will also have a limited stock of stainless steel worktop protectors for collection on the day at a bargain price.

Unfortunately We can't make it to the open day, but would still like a worktop protector, can they be posted out ?

No sorry we are not posting these out anymore as the couriers ate damaging to many

Would we be able to buy one and collect at so point in the future, or will you only be selling them for the open day ?
Also what would the cost be ?

If any of you recieved a cancellation email don’t worry I hit the wrong button the meet is definitely on 100% we have at least 30 vans booked in so far should be a good day 10% off everything in the shop see you all there

It has come to our attention that some people had not realised camping was available for this meet as I think it got lost midway in the thread.

Just to confirm, camping is at TallTrees Campsite If you are staying here, please let us know so as we can connect you with the other people who are camping
