It is not very noticeable - so I would let it stay. A reminder to be careful whenever you get into the van?Just clipped a van mirror and have a couple of marks on the wing mirror as shown. It's an ocean red, any ideas what's best to patch up?!View attachment 102896

Nope, dings do my head in, especially the one that I didn’t do myself. If Californias were all perfect they’d not be special. It is the imperfections and differences which make our campervans special.
Cherish the dings!
Ahhh yes. My dings look far more beautiful than the ones Clare has bashed into the van.Nope, dings do my head in, especially the one that I didn’t do myself.

Bought it in 2006 for £5001 off eBay, sold it 2 years later (shall we say emergency sale) for £4,500.
Almost as painful as selling my '74 bay window in 2002 for £2.5k...
What next? selling the Ocean next year for a pittance.....

The best looking car ever in my opinion. You cannot buy a good one for anywhere near that price anymore.Of course! That car was beautiful, such a head turner and so f@~king cool....

Let me know if you buy another one and want to sell at a loss
Just taken this pic to show better, the bottom, bigger mark feels smooth so doesn't appear to have done too much damage, the top one you can see a bit where the paint is away (the darker area)I would try some t-cut as mentioned above and polish in case it’s paint transfer. Has your paint lifted…?
After a buff it may not be to bad.
It’s worth waiting and saving them all up. You will get more.
Hit a decent body shop every 4 years and get them to sort all the little imperfections at once.
