Gaz and beer

Do you use a long pipe to connect it
to your outdoor cooking facility?

Small glass isn’t it?

The rectal version could be of interest for some

After all, if you talk out of it then you might as well drink out of it as well :shocked
With a sense of Humour like that you could be a moderator here.

I was thinking there might be a potential difference betwixt my pint and the gaz bottle. We could have all died. But what happened was I just drank beer and bought some gas. I see where you are all coming from. Lightning will be along to tell me how dangerous it is soon

Your alright, there may be a potential difference between the two, but the gas is sealed in the bottle with 2 independent layer of protection, the spring loaded bearing against the seal inside, and the manually screwed in seal. So the gas cannot leave the bottle. To get an ignition you need both the spark, and the flammable atmosphere. As the bottle is all at the same potential it cannot spark internally only externally.

Contrast this with the rubber pipe tie wrap, isolated conductor with gas flowing through it arrangement which you know is ok, coz Thailand, motorbikes, drinking etc. and you may be able to work out the difference.

Here you go though, I am merely an engineer, who has worked with electrostatics for years, if you want to argue about some more about it, I suggest you contact the academics on the committees who write the industry standards we follow. Give those nobs a piece of your mind! Bunch of twats telling people how to live their lives innit. Who do they think they are knowing more about a specialist technical subject than flying banana!

:)

I've always said "having the last word" is a bloke thing ....

Teach me to be sexist ...

Seems that I'm now having the last word :shocked

Should have drunk shandy

We had our 'flame thrower' incident due to a badly dealer fitted BBQ point 2 months after it had had it's full hab check including gas test, so it is no guarantee that it is safe, in our case whoever did the hab check should have realised and ensured that the 'idiot' who installed it was shot and then immediately rectified it.
