Handover checklist

I’m really excited to be collecting my VW California Ocean T7 diesel next week, but I’m a little confused about exactly what items it should come with.

It’s an ex-demo with around 1,000 miles on it, and the dealer has said it should include everything that a newly ordered van would normally come with. However, from reading this forum I’ve discovered a number of items that I didn’t realise were included, so I’m hoping someone might have an exhaustive checklist that I can use to make sure everything is present on handover day. With it being an ex-demo, I'm concerned some of the items might have gone missing.

From reading the forum, I’ve seen the following items mentioned:
  • 2 keys plus 2 heater remote controls
  • Window vents for driver and passenger doors
  • Fly screens for the sliding doors (not clear if these should be included or not, although they are mentioned in the brochure)
  • Shower head
  • 2 folding chairs
  • One large table and one small table
  • Tyre repair kit
  • Emergency pop-top strap
  • 4 lashing points for the rail system
  • Driver and passenger mats
  • Mats for the rear area
  • Plastic covers for the awning brackets when the awning is removed
  • Charging cable
I’m not sure which of the above I should expect to receive as standard. Please let me know if any of these are generally not provided, or if there are other items I should be checking for. Hopefully someone has a handover checklist they could provide me with.

Many thanks in advance.

Seems to have covered everything we got. The rear carpet mats were an option so may not be included unless already in van.

It should also have the water fill up plastic funnel and plug for sink.

Thank you, very helpful. Did you get the fly screens for the sliding doors and the caps for the awing brackets?

They were not delivered with the van from VW which is not uncommon. Dealer was good and ordered them in and posted them up to me as we live quite far away.

The only challenge is the best way to fit the sliding door fly screens as nobody seems to have instructions. I went with the method under the campervantastic listing for them which seems to work well.
