Heating Not Working

Have agree with @Trebor , and like to add to run the heater on high setting frequent . Also it is best to let the heater run until it reaches themps. and shuts off using it's thermostat before turning the heater fully off .
Meaning it's not recomended to switch the heater fully off when it's running and blowing ...

I had the 'Heating not possible' message come up yesterday evening when doing a pre trip check.
Found this thread and ran through the advice options. No errors on diagnostic then did a panel reset. Heater came back to life when turned on, cross fingers it keeps working.
3rd time the heater has failed 1st time VW found a wire off inside heater unit, 2nd time VW replaced the fuse with an uprated one. The heater just dropped out/ failed to run up on those 2 occasions with a flashing heater button light and symbol on console display.

Ok, you can’t do a reset, but have you rebooted the Control Panel.
Switch panel Off using L lower button.

Wait 30 secs and the switch On using L lower button.

This worked for me!
