Hose Replacemet

Hi,

I have read the various threads regarding the hose replacement kit and regulators etc but I can’t find an answer to the question of wether this job needs to be done by a professional or if a diy Route is possible. I don’t mind using a professional but the caravan / motorhome dealers close to me do not inspire confidence.

If it is an easy job then is their an instruction sheet available or a video for the job?

Lastly, on my existing hose the connections have a dab of red paint on them. Is this to act as a glue, seal or leak detection?

Grateful for advice.

Thanks in advance.

If you are confident and the van is for your use only no problem at all many members have done it

What hose are you looking to replace steve ?
Hi Westfalia,

The gas hose to the regulator.

I think changing it will be ok but is their anything to look out for I.e. lubing the seals, not overtightening the connecting nuts, do you use leak detection spray or any sealant?

Thanks.

Yes, you should use a leak detection spray, why are you
changing it ? are you doing the regulator also ?
There´s no sealant required.
