Leisure battery not charging

We have been away this weekend and the leisure battery does not appear to be charging whilst driving nor whilst hooked up. In the bottom right hand corner of the control panel there is a G and a socket symbol flashing alternately. Does anyone know what this means and how the issue can be fixed. Many thanks, John
