Having a big gathering in wife's granddads private field (handily in Rock, 100 yards from the beach!) this weekend - it has electricity but no loo!

Too late for a Portaloo hire (oops!) but wondering about a portable camping toilet and tent - we'd leave it there (it has several barns for storage) so it doesn't need to be super portable.

Any recommendations? Something not too grim if possible - the thought of a portable loo gives me the shivers!!

Matt....a Thetford PortaPotti 335 is reasonably civilised and has the added bonus of fitting below the sink in the Cali so could come in useful for wild camping as well ;)

Chris

We've got a 335 and it sits between the Cali and the Kyham Awning in the "porch". Not sure if you are looking for something to cope with a number of folks though?

335 looks good and matches the model of our BM. Does that matter? Just a little bit...

Cheers!

We have a Thetford 335 , it's getting on for 10 years old now still works fine. So it was good value for money.
At night We put it between the end of the ground floor bed and the front seats, it just fits. No smells and it's easy to empty everyday.
We don't have a loo tent ( you've got to carry it in the van somewhere when you travel and it's a pain to put up!)
I (we) prefer using the site loos but not in the middle of the night!

Dig a pit like we used to in the scouts!! pop a tent over it and hang an in use sign on the door!! job done!
:crazy

We dug a pit in the end!

Obviously this only works on land owned by the family...
