DTD they put it through to Eurovans.
4M cali Ocean.

That’s extremely quick! That’s who I’ve ordered mine with end of June but not heard anything yet and don’t expect to..which salesman you dealing with and I assume they just contacted you with the update?

So, finally everybody please say hello to Lunar who, after just over 14 months, has finally made it home. She's an Ocean 150, ordered June 30th 2021, went into build March 2022, then again (!) in May 2022, left factory at the beginning of August, arrived in the UK begging of September and collected on the 7th.

Apart from calling round to a few friends and families houses so they can be very jealous, I've had no time to do anything except take a few pictures. Had to cancel planned leave because of work pressures but hoping this weekend I can get out and play at least and maybe get a couple of nights away next weekend.

So far, all good - one very minor paint scuff just near the drivers side rear light and a faint scratch on the light cluster next to it, waiting to hear from dealer how they will resolve. Was in a warehouse type building when I collected and didn't spot until I pulled in to get fuel round the corner on the way home. Dealer didn't answer mobile and the collection was from a depot rather than a garage so emailed pics instead.

No sign of any delay compensation type freebies like blankets, cups or keyrings. Mentioned this to the collection guy who replied along the lines of Ted the gardener from the Fast Show - "I wouldn't know about that Sir, sorry". I'll chase VW directly and see what I can blag. Did get two window fly screen things and little torch that plugs into a 12v socket but I think they seem to be standard now. Oh and I'd already asked for some rubber mats to be thrown in.

So happy she's finally here. Now the real fun begins....

Just heard from dealer matt at SMG Tonbridge that our new van HUNTER is at the dealership. Two weeks after I was told it was in build. I wasn't expecting that. Almost a year to the day since order... Too early for a vat reduction unless I stalll him, haha. It will be sad to say goodbye to Betty Boo... Just sitting here at Busfest in the Club camping area with sone of his customers haha. And some of you... What a great bunch you are.... If you want to buy some red aluminium worktop protectors (3part worktop) come find us (look for sticker on side of van). I think I paid 65,yours for 45, still with cellophane on them... I'm going to reorder in orange for hunter.... Goodbye Betty Boo... Next video will be her last (from Busfest)

It's a 4motion with diff lock, auto dip headlights, traffic sign recog, duplicator, Lane assist, rear shower, Pearl black. Yes, things seem to be speeding up considerably.

Thank goodness these forums exist! It’s the only thing keeping us sane at the mo. We are now into month 12 since our original order with still no build date or any real updates which we have had to chase on a monthly basis. The common reply is ‘looks like November for yours’?!

Same here, I ordered August 2021 and have never been given a build week/ proper update. Anyway, i called the dealer on Friday and they said it had been due to be built in August (although they had never told me this) but it hadn’t been built and to call VW uk for more info. I called VW uk and they said it looks like it will be built week 40 but can’t confirm for sure. I believe week 40 may be October but the guy on the phone wasn’t sure either. Nor could he talk about the price protection ending in September. All in all a bit useless, hopefully we get some good news soon

We ordered the same so good to see what the styling pack looks like with the grey. Ours scheduled for build week 40 so 3rd October 2022.
Can’t wait.
 
I picked ours up on Friday from Breeze Pool and got well acquainted on the 5 and a half hour drive home!

Currently in the Yorkshire dales, laying in the top bunk with my 18 month old daughter napping on me. Off for a walk by the river once she wakes up.

Feeling very lucky to be able to use it this summer having only ordered in March.

Looks lovely, I have an Ocean on order since Oct 21 same colour, call from the dealer on Friday expected delivery date of late Sept.

Amazingly when we ordered it he predicted "late Sept 22", date has moved a number of times but as its now built he may be right after all.

Got a surprise today
Called for an update and ours is waiting to be shipped to the UK.

Ordered November 21 and dealer predicted Oct 22

Need to get lots of things sorted now as we had put the planning on the back burner thinking it would likely be next year given I had not heard anything about it’s stages of build etc…

Exciting times … we had only just experienced our first time in a camper this weekend after hiring one to make sure it was what we wanted

Been to meet Hunter today... a bit dirty, but he will have an imminent ceramic coat to be applied (at dealership but not by dealer), and just as I was leaving, I spotted something weird in their showroom Cali.... woah, an upgraded speaker system... I was going to do this after market, but SMG have started adding this as an option on Calis... I had a listen, awesome. It is being installed in Hunter next week... it replaces 4 speakers at front, adds a sub under driver seat, and new amp... plus front door sound proofing... 1200+VAT - all pioneer kit I think, but not 100% sure... I will review on our youtube channel soon. My music quality is important to me, being a fumbling musician myself. Finally, there were rubbish reg plates available to choose from, so it had to be done..... VW72HUN purchased.

Should be collecting ours next Wednesday. Could have had it last week but we went to a Switzerland instead. Given the dreadful experience of flying from Manchester I wish we’d taken the Cali instead….next time…!

Enjoy your Cali and maybe we’ll see each other around Manchester.

What ceramic coat are you having ?
Have you researched the many different combo’s ?

Out of interest who are you using for the ceramic coating as its something I will need to consider in the future, when my van lands.
