Hi,Hell Michael,
I certainly am well pleased with the vehicle, and as my earlier post set out, I like both Mike and Eurovans.
Mike surprised me by asking for a copy of my, till then fairly covert, three page checklist (based on the forum's 2016 list, links above). Hopefully you will not have any missing items as I did.
No, I went for grey bellows, the blue and red coloured bellows are a little too bright for me - if you haven't you could perhaps check the blue in the flesh.
I think you could be surprised on delivery given the rapid build of some other recent orders, and I wish you well with it all.
This is the current 'pop-up' on the VW Configurator:Question for those who have had short wait times for delivery, did you select the "without lane change assist" option when ordering?
Nope. Didn’t know it was a thing.Question for those who have had short wait times for delivery, did you select the "without lane change assist" option when ordering?
I didn't remove it and at the time it didn't appear to be an option on the configurator. The only two options which we didn't tick were pretty much body kits/18" wheels, diff lock and tow bar so maybe they are items in short supply? We ordered our new 4Motion, "without lane change assist", on 31/07/22 with an Estimated Delivery Date, 01/04/23 given by the dealer. Email from VW last Monday 7th, saying it's left the factory. So it looks like it's going to be 3 1/2 months, order to being at the dealers.Question for those who have had short wait times for delivery, did you select the "without lane change assist" option when ordering?
Might be interesting info for anyone waiting on a ship:I had a very quick build without Lane Assist. It's a Grand California so different factory but I guess the same supply chain limitations for most components.
Ordered 2nd Aug and it was built, waiting at the port in Germany by 31st Oct.
I missed the Lane Assist by mistake actually. By the time I asked for it to be added, the thing was in build.
I don't have a tow bar, satellite dish or 4-Motion either. Other than that it's the full set of options and just 13 weeks from order through build and out to port.
Snap, mine is confirmed in the Uk with Delivery to dealer, in 7 to 10 days, then collection within 10 days.Might be interesting info for anyone waiting on a ship:
My GC was confirmed built and at the German port on 31st Oct. Today confirmed in the UK.
I may have to give them a call then. Still nothing. One month today since they said it is built and on its waySnap, mine is confirmed in the Uk with collection due in 7 to 10 days.
Volkswagen's largest volume of production in recent months has created a backlog of vehicles at Emden, in Germany. It's taking longer than usual for vehicles to get to the port and to be loaded on to ships. We expect to see improvements within the next few weeks.
I think that could possibly be a fib (the price increase)Snap, mine is confirmed in the Uk with Delivery to dealer, in 7 to 10 days, then collection within 10 days.
Also interesting is that the dealer said price increase due 1st December 2022. (I can’t find any info from Google regarding price increase?)
I think so too, don’t know why he said it, happy to have it in 4 months is the Brucie Bonus !I think that could possibly be a fib (the price increase)
Only by cancelling your order and reordering. That was the message we got when thought about delaying the registration of our van by a couple of weeks to get the new 1st March plate.I ordered mine early last month and the estimated deliver is May next year. I really hope it doesn't turn up much earlier because my plan was to sell my current one early next year to pay for the new one! I won't have the money to pay for it if turns up in December/January....
Will VW give me a bit time if needed?
I've just emailed my dealer to ask what is happening to lead times and should I expect to receive the van months before I expect it. I ordered mine in July 22 and the dealer said to expect 12 months minimum. I'll let you know what he says, if he responds.I ordered mine early last month and the estimated deliver is May next year. I’m confused You really think your cali could be delivered Dec/Jan when ordered last month, in Oktober?I ordered mine early last month and the estimated deliver is May next year. Ordered mine in late April this year and with a fair wind should have it before Christmas (it is at the port in Germany) so that looks like around 8 months for a 4motion with just about all the options selected and the sports pack.I’m confused You really think your cali could be delivered Dec/Jan when ordered last month, in Oktober?
No really, they are expensive and we also had to sell my family car (opel grandland) in order to be able to pay for our cali. When ordered -August 2020- we had 8-9 months waiting time but that ended up being 20 months so we could save more money and that was a plus. And they said we could leave it there for weeks more if we wanted
Yes, can be but 3 or 4 months? A new one, no no, will not happen I guess. A rather ‘normal’ waiting time can be 8-9 months. Shorter is short and longer is what they state now with us (Belgium): one year and more.Ordered mine in late April this year and with a fair wind should have it before Christmas (it is at the port in Germany) so that looks like around 8 months for a 4motion with just about all the options selected and the sports pack.
Thanks for ruining my weekend. I was told my replacement would be delivered before last Sept. Still waiting so I guess Spring might be on the cards. First world problems I guess.(they said a few months) and it ended up being 20 months
