Had an email to say ours is being built. 204 ocean 4motion, diff lock, with sports, tow bar, and a few other bits (no lane assist)
Ordered end of match through DTD and dealing with Ben in crawly.
Will this be the slightly updated model?
You also may be lucky and by the time its delivered to dealer will be in time for the 2023 reg plate from 1st March??Had an email to say ours is being built. 204 ocean 4motion, diff lock, with sports, tow bar, and a few other bits (no lane assist)

I hope so too but I have yet to hear of anyone (UK or Germany) getting the new canvas as of mid Nov.Yes - it will have the upgrade canvass for the pop up roof and have the nav streaming facility, can quite remember what its called but it used to be a cost option. Out of interest what % discount did you end up with DTD?
Mine is the 204 4m with sports pack, tow bar, high spec navigation, leather look etc so even with all this they are coming through quicker than expected.Had an email to say ours is being built. 204 ocean 4motion, diff lock, with sports, tow bar, and a few other bits (no lane assist)

It was about 8-10% from memory! Was quite surprised to be honest.Yes - it will have the upgrade canvass for the pop up roof and have the nav streaming facility, can quite remember what its called but it used to be a cost option. Out of interest what % discount did you end up with DTD?
Mine might have been on that video as picking mine up Thursday afternoon.Had confirmation from Ben at Eurovans that ours has arrived with them. He even sent a little video of it in the yard, along with loads of other Cali’s! We’re picking up next week, 13 months after ordering. Very excited.
I would like to mention, lane change assist on the California to rubbish, we never use itWe ordered our new 4Motion, "without lane change assist", on 31/07/22 with an Estimated Delivery Date, 01/04/23 given by the dealer. Email from VW last Monday 7th, saying it's left the factory. So it looks like it's going to be 3 1/2 months, order to being at the dealers.
Thanks for the insight. I guess you missed my initial post.A GC is different than a T6.1 california![]()
I’ve been told I must pay by end of November to avoid price increaseThanks for the insight. I guess you missed my initial post.
I think it is good to have as a Safety feature. It could help in heavy fog and or if driver over tired also Roger with side assist it also helps if you are going to overtake and there is a blind spot of another vehicle passing.I would like to mention, lane change assist on the California to rubbish, we never use it
There’s blind spot assist (your picture), and then lane change assist (I might be mixing up the terms here can’t remember).I think it is good to have as a Safety feature. Which dealer has told you about a price increase?I’ve been told I must pay by end of November to avoid price increase
Anyone else heard about this? Many thanks
Sounds like the dealer wants you to complete the contract ASAP and not think about cancelling. I bet given the current recession, orders are being cancelled left, right and centre.I’ve been told I must pay by end of November to avoid price increase

You‘re in the right area with that. The blind spot assistance via the orange light is just that, a visual warning. ‘Side Assist’ will actively steer you back into your lane if you’ve missed a vehicle coming past you when overtaking (also has an audible alarm and message on the central dash display), and it works in conjunction to Lane Assist. If you turn off Lane Assist you also turn off Side Assist. There’s blind spot assist (your picture), and then lane change assist (I might be mixing up the terms here can’t remember).
One is the flashing part which tells you someone is about to overtake, that’s useful and works well.
The other is to keep you centered in the lane, good for long journeys where you can just cruise along with one finger on the bottom of the steering wheel… does not work well on the California (but was brilliant on my previous car).
Eurovan crawleyWhich dealer has told you about a price increase?
That’s interesting. VW normally go by the registration date of a vehicle, and that was the core of the price hike threat that was around end of May 2022.I’ve been told I must pay by end of November to avoid price increase
Anyone else heard about this? Many thanks
I’ve not seen anything about a price increase yet and we would normally have a few weeks notice about one so I’d say that might be a little bit of a fib personally.Eurovan crawley
Same here. Was told my California is in the UK port and it’s due to be in EV next week some time. But I can pay the deposit and setup the Finance online and telephone to miss the price increase, as of 1st December.I’ve been told I must pay by end of November to avoid price increase

Your initial post? Omg, and what would that be? I've been following this post from the beginning, but I'm not familiar with your initial post; excuse meThanks for the insight. I guess you missed my initial post.
The fact you've spent time twice responding contradicts your feigned indifference.Your initial post? Omg, and what would that be? I've been following this post from the beginning, but I'm not familiar with your initial post; excuse me![]()
