Just arrived at Camping La Viorna outside Potes, here for two days. Best pitch ever:

I remember that view vividly. Our pitch was about there. The Picos are so clear it’s like a film backdrop - I used to sit and look. Unreal. Cracking place - have a lovely time

This place was good when we visited in 2022. Small site close to Potes which in itself is a lovely village

Very similar to a route we did 2 yrs ago, but we went further south west and right the way up to NW Spain. I’ll dig out our route and campsites. We’re off to Spain and Portugal again in May - love them.

Thats great thank you . I have camped at Camping laviorna (Potes) so was pleased to see you recommended that site as that is the sort of site we like , so im guessing your other recommendations will be really helpful , thank you .
Im going to start from Potes (La Viorna ) and move west then south into Portugal ( I think) and the only site i am going to book is La viorna as i am thinking no need to book in May /June (early part) . Hopefully this will be ok as i hate pre planning all my trip .
Appreciate your recommendations and if you think of any others or places of interest at any time please advise as its always good to get ideas from others that have already been and done it .

As my wife and I are planning almost the very same trip at the end of May this year, I wondered if you had any tips? Do's and Don's etc? Never been to Portugal before but first stop is a return to La Viorna when this time at least we hope to walk the Cares Gorge
