Hi all we ordered our new california beginning of December and was thinking about it last week with all the extra items we are putting in to it etc and looked up how much it weights and gross weight is 3080 kg .we are planning to do a lot of touring in this as it is a long term plan and is just wondering do campers or California's get stopped for weight checks in uk or France Germany etc .has any one ever encountered such an experience .we live in the south of Ireland and there is not very many California's about I just know of one .also our california is now not due until end of April as you all know factory experiencing back logs .cheers for your help .

Personally No, nor have I heard of anyone with a California or VW conversion having a weight check.

Not experienced any weight checks but you may find the tyre pressure warning light comes on as we have found when towing boats ( not necessarily overweight as only a basic 140bhp but it seems this is quite sensitive).....
