I have an update to this thread - I honestly thought I wouldn't but sadly I have

Yesterday the engine light came on again when I started it. Also the alarm started randomly going off as well.

Going back into the dealer next Tuesday so be interesting to see what it is this time but I suspect the work they did last time didn't resolve the initial issue.

UPDATE !!!!

The issues are now finally resolved !! I can get some peace and quiet now the alarm isn't going off all the time!!

The issue?

A chaffed wire going to the alarm sounder!!

I have no idea how this happened - I don't even know where the alarm sounder is!!

I now have a perfect California for once - right before I"m selling it still it's good that it's now all sorted for the new owner
