Terri tried the liquorice flavoured ice cream the other day - not my cup of tea thanks!

Had a good sleep on the Fur-island , amazing how much more stars you see than in Belgium due less light pollution here...
Lovely morning view with the sun allready shinging in our bedroom from 7am

Going for a walk soon and will be enjoying the sun later this afternoon as weather looks dry and 20-25celcius

The loop walk can be taken next to the campsite (there are sevral on the island) and is about 5km but we added some and ended up with 7km .
Taking you thru the fields and to the beach of what is the Limfjorden.
Seems there’s only about 800people living on the island and over 100.000visitors a year come here on hollyday.

As you can see above , we been on the road again.
We left the island of Fur behind thismorning and headed south via the coastline ending up in Vejers on the strandcamping (drove about 200km) , it is a ACSI campsite just behind the dunes so walking distance to the beach ...only thing is that the beach is filled with cars as you see in the post above . One can just roll on the beach and park up ...
Campsite is very big but not crowded this time a year. Note to myself : do NOT come here in july or august !
Spot the Cali...

During the drive we had dry weather but just when we pulled up the beach it started a light rain for 30min . Shame but i still popt the top up and enjoyed beeing on the beach with my SE..

Wow that looks great, wonderful locations. I really like that herb garden too.

Yesterday we spent a day walking around Bruges and walked about 10 miles today. It is a lovely city.

Travelling in a Cali you meet so many interesting people, we met Eric from Germany and his wife from Japan. He makes harps and his wife is a musician, such interesting people.

The dogs slept very well last night after such long walks.

We are on our way too. Currently camped at a Knaus site in Essen. Didn’t know Knaus also ran sites as well as making caravans and motor homes.

We use a BackBox for extra stuff but the frame that locks onto the tow ball broke yesterday. The only way we can carry it is on the bike rack.
Look out for us, we are easy to spot now.

Today took of at the Vejers campsite , if the weather would been better we stayed a day on the beach but at 11am it was still rather foggy/clouded and no sun . Headed of to the town of Ribe witch suppose to be oldest town in Denmark and beautiful to walk ...
Drove only 60km and by the time we got there just past midday the sun was out.
Parked on a large parking where free overnight is possible but very crouded and parked in line close to eachother. Good spot to visit Ribe , only 5min walk in to center.
Indeed a very very nice town to visit !
To all comming to the meet and got some time do go there...
Very nice old buildings , oldest cathedral of Denmark , car-free walking area in the center .
Enjoyed coffee and ice-cream

We might be joining you tomorrow night as we plan a trip round Ribe on Thursday. Today we we’re up at Grenen where the Skatagat and the Katagat meet. Never seen such a vast amount of sand! A couple of pics for you below.

If anyone is joining Ribe campsite , we are in pitch 640 all the way on the far end of the site.

I was close to getting the “rotating pitch” it’s realy great stuff but the location itself where they made it is rather bad , just in front of the sanitary building...

Having some cakes we bought earlyer and a cup of tea...

We had an amazing day yesterday with @Auberg-ine , seeing some places around Brussels. I also had a tour of his ocean which has so many clever Cali-hacks to make the most of space. Then it was cooking some amazing meals on a ridge monkey, mussels in the rather special Oude beer) and steamed pears in chocolate sauce). Zero mess and amazing tastes, perfect camper van food.

We also had a lovely dinner and camped in our hosts beautiful grounds in a picturesque villlage. A wonderful day and very special. Thank you @Auberg-ine and family for amazing hospitality.

We are in the Netherlands today and near Arnhem on our way to a campsite. Tomorrow we do many miles through Germany.

Had a loveley sunny day at Ribe campsite .
Slow waking up and breakfast , then walked back in to town (1,5km ) there was a flea-market and got to buy a couple of nice bargains...
Back on the site about 14pm and enjoyed the sun while it lasts.
Prediction for the next few days and weekend is colder/windy and light chance on rain .

I really enjoy all your reports, it is so nice to see you have a good time and exactly why we wanted to have a Meet in Denmark … ;-)

We are working like mad horses to get ready to leave the house, looking forward to seeing you all very soon. We plan to arrive in Lakolk tomorrow afternoon. And Friday the local newspaper come to make an article about the Meet – that is funny ;-)
