Hi All.
My white Beach has dark stains from when it rains and it dripping off or around the side windows.
Anyone have any ideas why this happens?
Or a good cleaning tip for getting behind the glass?

Cheers, Bob

Are the stains you’re referring to inside the van, or the paintwork on the doors?

If it’s inside - I think I can make out on your avatar that it looks like you have the pop in type wind deflectors. We fitted the stick on type that help to shed drips further away from an open window.
If it’s the external paintwork - try a highly water repellent paintwork treatment such as ceramic coating.

Hi Bob

Nice one for the reply, that’s exactly what I’m talking about, looks like I got some fiddly cleaning coming my way! I had just cleaned it when the rain came , so had to doit again☹️
Thanks all. Bob

Thanks all. Bob
Once a year I do what I call the toothbrush wash. Gently get in all the cracks. Otherwise stuff starts growing around windows and roof seal.
Rest of the year I use the Kärcher jet wash which tends to also blast away organic matter that collects in the cracks.

I was told not to power wash the windows of my last van. It was in having the leaky window replaced, which is a known fault.
I’d agree not using a pressure washer on anything but the lower pressure settings. I do use one sometimes in the winter the remove heavier salt and muck deposits (lower half).

You can do a fairly effective clean of the fixed window surrounds with a chamois or microfibre cloth, using it edge-wise.
