Returning to a Calafornia

Not new shape California related but last Christmas I bought a brand new Ford Transit Sport for work. I too was worried about the wet belt that the new Transit and the new Transporter share in their Diesel engines so I opted for the petrol plug in hybrid model which has a timing chain not a wet belt. I’m not too sure the new transporter even has this drivetrain as an option yet but if I was thinking of getting a converted T7 camper I would be getting the petrol hybrid version due to it not having the wet belt

No that 2.5l petrol PHEV isn’t available on the VW Commercial Transporter at the moment. I asked last week at Breeze Soton and they didn’t know when or if it would be offered in the future. I’m of the same view as you, it’s the engine I would want on a 3rd party conversion. Last I checked Ford didn’t offer it on the Nugget either ( despite being on a press release).

Can the mods please change the forum titles and let’s end this confusing madness.

T7 = ford/VW badged van
Multivan California = Multivan California
