Roof Corrosion and Calis Built in 2014

Hi,

I have heard it said that all Calis built from 1st January 2014 onward have had the roof modification carried out when built in the factory. Is this correct?

Also my Cali was registered new on 30th July 2014 so it might have been built in 2014. Is there any way of telling from looking at the vin number the year of manufacture?

Yes. Your Dealer should be able to tell you.

You should be OK for front panel corrosion, however you will need to check the main elevating roof (under the rubber seal) as we have had some reports on this from vans built up to the late part of 2014!

Don't get too paranoid. Forget all about it until Month 35 of the Warranty and then check and if not happy makes warranty claim.

We'll all be wondering whether to get the T6 or wait for the T7 by then
