I’ve noticed on our 2018 T6 that when the sliding door opens against the stop it often bounces back a short distance and needs pushing back again. It usually occurs when the door opens more quickly, such as on a slope etc. As it meets the stop, it also sounds slightly. ..... er ... cheap .. clattery ... I think describes it best.

I never noticed this on our previous T5’s.

I was in the VW showroom at the weekend and the doors on the vans in there sounded the same. I didn’t try the bounce test on them as it didn’t seem appropriate to do start slamming the doors against the stops.

I’ve checked and greased the mechanism but it doesn’t seem to have made any difference.

I wonder has anyone else noticed this?

I've noticed it although cannot comment on comparison with T5 and mine had an electric door

Mines one of the last t5s and the door often bounces off the stop. I slide it with the handle and release once it’s past.

Had the same issue recently on our 2014 se and have sprayed some dry ptfe spray on the runners. No problem now.
