Sliding panel for Pop Up roof creeps open.

Hi all,

The sliding roof above the driver and front passenger seat keeps creeping open as we drive, I'm thinking of inserting a thin strip of commercial velcro, any other solutions or repairs you know of?

Very common issue. We have had the same on our Ocean.

Place several 50cm strips of self adhesive velcro (the smooth part) inside the running channel.

This has worked for us for the past 4 years.

As mentioned above, a common issue on T6 and earlier. A search on roof hatch gives lots of results.
In the T6.1 some of us have had the opposite problem in that it is now incredibly stiff and hard to slide back when putting the roof up.

If you look on the rail that the hatch slides in there are, at least on my vehicle, strips of self adhesive felt like material on the curved portion. These smooth off with use. Just replace with new.
