Solar LCD display

I’m considering options for Roger fitting solar and decided to go for x 2 panels, MPTT charger that charges Leisure and Starter batteries but just wondering about the LCD display.

The information on the LCD display is already displayed on the unit in the cupboard, how often would I need to look at the display? and how easily can you see the information?

I’m hesitant to have the panel cut into to mount the LCD.

I have the display and cut into the panel to mount it. It's not too difficult to do.
Although I used the display a lot initially, the novelty wore off in about two weeks and I only look at it occasionally now, mainly to check on the state of charge of the starter battery.
If you are worried about cutting the panel, I wouldn't bother, you can obtain all the information you need without it, just less conveniently.
