T5 Engine number location

We are traveling to Angola in 2 weeks time and just heard that we need to be able to identify the location of the engine number on our California’s engine.
Been to the dealership today and they told me it is very difficult with the engine inside the vehicle.
Anyone with assistance on location of number on engine please

Yes, it is and on the license disk as well but they need to verify that, it

If you need the stamped number into the block, it will be a hell of a job to get it.
But hey, if they want to verify it, wish them good luck and tell them they have 10 minutes to find out.

It can't be the first T5 going into Angola, well the first on this site.
They should know what they're looking for.

I thought that on modern vehicles it was just the number
on the bottom of the screen matching up with your paperwork.
I struggle to see my engine block from above.

Front of engine, right hand side half way down. Roughly in line with the alternator, found mine when taking off the alternator. I guess you will need a mirror to see it when all assembled.
