This is great news. I have a 150 beach on order (4motion with an electric roof because I can) and have been disbelieving of the dealer who, while he says week 10, also says the build is unconfirmed. Maybe I will be in luck!

Now gone to confirmed week 7 having ordered on 19 November.

Also received an email from VW today headed ‘Your order is in production’. Not sure that means anything more than build week confirmed(?) but all reassuring anyway!

Last time I asked it was May but they said they thought it will come in. I really want to get it in April but what will be will be I guess. I hope yours does come a in soon. Aug is a big wait

Yep. Most of the delay was VW pushing UK orders out pre brexit and then COVID has also had its say, but hopefully the 204 delays have allowed us 150 owners to make up some ground. Glad I went for that engine rather than the 204! Have come close to cancelling and picking up a second hand ocean but I know that would be a mistake for us, so just trying not to think about the delays.

Power roof on a Beach? Didn't realise it was an option. Presumably that's an Ocean roof in terms of height/toppers rather than the Beach/Coast manual.

It’s LHD so the choices are much more than in U.K. market. Can have 150 or 204 engines, but I went for 150 4motion.

the roof is the same as the ocean, not sure there is any other difference in profile other than it having power. Want to be able to carry a roof box on occasion and still be able to lift the extra weight.

Hi all. First time poster. I ordered my Beach at the end of November. Was initially given a provisional build week of Week 9. Checked on the VW chat last week and this has been changed to Week 10, still provisional.

Just been updated by the dealer after threatening to cancel and been told that it is build week 11 and so I can look at collection at the end of week 14.

As a sop from VW (apparently) have been given extended warranty FOC which gives great peace of mind. Had always intended to ask for something extra due to the delays so a little success without asking was nice.

I have a 8 October order arriving (supposedly) in May so wonder if the timescales are similar and if I might expect the same sop from VW

So quick. I think there must be a delay with oceans. Beaches seem to be coming through very quickly

Hey hey! Might you have insider knowledge about what the hell is going on with some getting their California’s in 3 months, others 9? Beaches seem to come though quicker. Why the discrepancy?

Im not 100% sure but it wouldnt surprise me if they are trying to fix the problematic roof control panel faults

Awesome... can you get mine bumped too? Last time I checked the build week was end of May

A lot of that will be down to dealer allocation. Every dealer has an allocated amount of units they can order if they use that then they have to wait for their next allocation.

Anything you can find out would be interesting to hear. All I get from Chat and Dealer is “We don’t know.Hanover don’t tell us anything”

I didn’t realise customers suffered from dealers over ordering. Strange I’ve had 6 provisional build weeks...

Unfortunately im in the same boat the factory give us next to no information apart when the vehicle has left the factory and ready to ship. We have several oceans on order and build weeks change. Beach on the other hand were set for may delivery but all pushed forward to march delivery

Makes sense that the electric roof is an issue then. What is the problem with it? I didn’t know it had one...

Thats why its always best to shop around local dealers we dont order any demos now as that uses our allocation then lets customers down.

I’m definitely contacting the dealer then to see if mine has moved forward as well. Mine was May too. I ordered through Liverpool. Which dealership are you?
