Thats why its always best to shop around local dealers we dont order any demos now as that uses our allocation then lets customers down.

Suppose I’ll take the Drive the deal £7k discount for a 6 month delay (in lockdown anyway)

Makes sense that the electric roof is an issue then. What is the problem with it? I didn’t know it had one...

Ocean roof now has a touch screen display panel which either freezes or doesnt respond the worst part is when you have the roof up over night it drops slightly then the panel doesnt respond to commands to lower the roof or raise it again.

Im not 100% sure but it wouldnt surprise me if they are trying to fix the problematic roof control panel faults

Got any more info on the issue? I added an electric roof to my beach (ordered August) and just been told week 11. You have started something you may live to regret, no peace for you now!!!!

When the manual pops up so easily I just don’t think it’s worth the hassle

I’m definitely contacting the dealer then to see if mine has moved forward as well. Mine was May too. I ordered through Liverpool. Which dealership are you?

Totally agree. I wanted electric roof on mine but kind of glad the option is not available in the UK

im used to it from working on these daily its my job. Its more of a software issue. They have become far too complex compared to previous model

The only potential flaw in your thinking is some Oceans are being delivered. You’d think it they were working to fix a problem with the electric roof they’d suspend all deliveries?

There may also be a part change that we are not aware of yet and the modified parts could be slowly rolled out

Went for the electric roof after much debate but for the occasional time of a roof box and wanting to still be able to pop the roof decided to change, now thinking I should rethink or just give up and go second hand.

im used to it at work sometimes miracles happen. If i can be of help then i dont mind giving advise or sharing tips but with the T6.1 us as techs in the dealership have limited resources as due to Covid we have no training so a lot of the issues are having to be dealt with via or tech support team and the factory with limited backup

Sure but why are 150 Oceans delayed then?

Had a chat with my salesman and he has no delays on 150 ocean they are coming through as normal. 204 is delayed due to weight issue with the new RDE2 engine customers will be contacted in due course to remove weight

Interesting as i added almost every option possible on my Beach the only bits i didnt add was park assist, lane assist and traffic sign recognition

Are VW still pushing to get vehicles into UK to avoid any Brexit taxes? read somewhere that there was a short period where they are not having to pay additional import duties? Looks like UK deliveries may be quicker still as they were in December.

Hoping that my week 11 build week does not change again but all I can say is I am glad I am not working in VW logistics right now!!!

There was talk of price increase if no deal but as a deal was struck there are no Brexit price increases. Fingers crossed your build date doesnt get extended.

I've chased my 150 Beach and I now have a provisional build date of week 11 which has moved in from week 21. Still not a confirmed date but very happy its moved in. I ordered 2nd Dec.

Hi all. Just checked with VW chat on my Beach Camper order and now have a confirmed build week of Week 8. I was told two weeks ago it was a provisional Week 10 so happy with today's update.

Thanks. It was the soonest I could get the order through after VW announced the Beach would be available again in the UK. Fingers crossed for yours.
