T6 bike rack

Have a look where the 2 black clamps are on the rack. If they are too high up it wont go home,they need to be near the bottom so the top doesnt hit before the clamps have a full grab. Some people fit them wrongly when building them up new,they come off easily to move.mine used to drop too,looking at some internet pics i saw that mine were alot higher up so i moved them down and its been fine since

Note the vertical clamps are betwixt the 1st and 2nd rails at the bottom. Mine were higher up before and it did the dropping thing on me.

I've driven once with an empty bike rack down. I assumed it was because a little boy had pulled it down shortly before I drove off.

When clipped up it does seem very secure, but the bicycle wheel strap holders do need to be correctly positioned. We have the wheel strap holders on trough four reversed as a small toy bike goes there, and it won't fit with the strap holders unreversed.
