I've seen pictures of T6's with Led's and no washers, and half a dozen or so in the flesh.
Hmm surprised, I only passing on what the dealer told me today. I thought and @DM said that it was a legal requirement.

Ok - just found this on-line.My dealer also advised that washers do not need to be added for LED headlights. I hope he's right!
interesting @DM, I wonder if it changes if you have 2xUSB? i.e. drawer USB becomes primary and glovebox USB becomes secondary? I can confirm my single glovebox USB definitely works very well with CarPlay, inc Siri off the steering wheel controls. (we are in danger of being off topic here though....)I just checked - Apple CarPlay does not work on the USB in the glovebox. Only works on the second USB in the small compartment with the 12V socket.
Yes - we are way off topic! Suggest we continue on the T6 options thread if any one wants to continue this discussion.interesting @DM, I wonder if it changes if you have 2xUSB? i.e. drawer USB becomes primary and glovebox USB becomes secondary? I ordered ACC and got the multi function steering wheel as part of the deal at no extra cost.ACC options are also confusing. It can be ordered with or without sidescan. If you order without then the steering wheel is additional cost. If you order with sidescan then the package price includes ACC, Front Assist, the Steering Wheel and sidescan. That way the side scan only costs a fraction of the cost if you ordered it separately. The 'all in' option was not in the price list when I ordered but someone here (@SusiBus I think) posted an updated price list here on the forum. The dealer denied it existed until I sent him a copy!
As did iI ordered ACC and got the multi function steering wheel as part of the deal at no extra cost.
I checked my correspondence. I think standard Cruise Control comes without the MFSW but it's included in both the ACC packs. Sorry for any confusion.I ordered ACC and got the multi function steering wheel as part of the deal at no extra cost.
I thought the same thing so the UI4 option made no sense. However, I really wanted the convenience of the USB close at hand in a nice little compartment that my iPhone fits in perfectly so UI2 was a no brainer especially at no extra cost.
Hi fordyski. I completely understand - certainly not an easy decision.Hi @Tommy Gun . Thanks for your comments. I am seriously considering looking + Motorhome if i don't get some info very soon. Problem is that i think if i make the move to MH their will be no coming back even if I want too .
.... it is a legal requirement for Xenon or LED headlights to have washers (don't know why - does anyone?). So washers are included in the cost of the LED headlights. The VW configurator (which the dealers use to order) will flag this up and require either the washers or LED leadlights to be deleted.
Good News. When did your order go in?Well folks, I thought I'd share some positive news regarding VW.
Just been in contact with our dealership, and by all accounts our van is in production (unable to confirm what stage as VW systems were down !), but all is looking well for a delivery end of June start of July......
Hi Mike,Good News. When did your order go in?
Mike
Thanks. Mid March for me so there is hopeHi Mike,
We ordered Feb 11th, seems like a lifetime ago !!!!
Hi fordyski. I completely understand - certainly not an easy decision.
I've been on this thread a while now & sadly, delivery times just don't seem to be improving & nobody really knows what's going on in that factory planning & scheduling dept.
For what it's worth, I was genuinely & pleasantly surprised by my experience in the MH. I shamelessly enjoyed it & will start pinching it the odd weekend more often . I'd suggest a day out looking around the dealers. If you are still interested after that then a short rental might be a good idea to help you make your mind up. Hopefully you'll know if it's for you or not, then you can decide what to do with your Cali order. The Cali is fantastic, but I'm convinced a MH is no bad prospect either.
Just for info - I (re)ordered 6th or 7th of Jan / Build Week 15 / got stuck in the factory due to parts shortages / van will arrive at the dealer this Monday 6th June / collect Tuesday 7th. Bang-on 5 months, but felt much, much longer.
Hope things work out
Cheers
Tom
There's always hopeThanks. Mid March for me so there is hope

Haha - we got the 'systems down' excuse in February! Our Cali disappeared into the system for about 4 weeks and then miraculously reappeared at the port. It seems to take an average of 3 weeks to get from factory to dealer so end June might be slightly optimistic unless it is close to the end of build (which seems to take 3-5 weeks). But fingers crossed for you.Well folks, I thought I'd share some positive news regarding VW.

Seem to have found a more senior person who can actually find stuff out. He said that a notification went out to dealers in March that said that build slots from circa week 20 onwards would be slipped 10 weeks. So my potential week 21 build is now looking like week 34 . So delivery probably in November, or 9 months after I ordered it!
He is looking into it more and phoning me again Tuesday so we can discuss what they are going to do about it from here. Livid and let down doesn't begin to cover it...
I'm getting quite attached to our wee 500, it runs on fresh air/£20 road tax/easy to park, in fact, anyone want to buy an candy Beach lolHaha

Good luck for Tuesday! Big smiles all round
Thanks a lot Jen, cheersGood luck for Tuesday! Big smiles all round
I'm guessing you've ordered a manual rather than a dsg? I think the parts supply issue is related to the dsg.We were build week 21, so that information might not be too accurate either.
I think there's more change of picking winning lottery numbers than getting a confirmed build/delivery date form VW !!!!!!
