This week I've bought '________' for my Cali

Another busy buying week after our first trip away.

'Big' purchase was a Brandrup ISOfix internal topper after reading advice on here. Purchased from the Netherlands, as pound against the Euro is strong currently (£1:€1.20).

Storage baskets for the under sink cupboard (ones I used initially are a bit too tight). I am hoping these Orthex boxes (12L & 16L respectively) from John Lewis will fit the two undersink shelves perfectly:

1st shelf (for plates, bowls, cups, glasses):

2nd shelf (for pots/pans/electric toasty maker/colander/etc):

Also, some fairy lights from Primark at @zerofour's dismay
Can i ask if the boxes fitted? We have some but i am not happy with them; other half says they are okay but a perfect solution would be better.

Okay, I didn't buy it but I was bought a solid silver neck chain upon which to wear my newly acquired non-electronic key!

Purchased said key so that I NEVER AGAIN lock myself out of the van when getting up for a pee!

Just ordered a Thinkware F770 Dashcam. Now I just need to find the instructions made by @Loz (?), as I recall. Thought it was easier than expected ;-)

Her we had a discussion about how far it would influence the warranty if it is hardwired? What do you think?

We not always take our bikes with us, but you can be sure this one is going to be part of the standard equipment! It's a foldable Micro scooter. Fits easily under the shelf in the back.

Nice. I use one of these (it is electric):

I added my dash cam last week, its not a Thinkware, took me a while but with the correct tools it would have taken no more than an hour. I've routed the cable around the screen to the central fuse box behind the bottle cooler/holder.

Had this shelf delivered from www, calitop.de on Friday - fitted today.

Future buyers beware:
The plastic hooks are no longer available - metal hooks with rubber "O" rings instead as below:

a RidgeMonkey sandwich toaster - makes surprisingly good cheese toasties!

Can I ask where you had the key cut, my dealer says it's not possible to have a non electronic key cut.

Not bought, but made. A tv shelf using some bits of 44 x12 I had laying around. Cut to size/shape and joined together with duct tape.

Picked up one of these for viewing the IPAD.

Perfect for us on the drivers seat headrest. We don't bother/need to swivel the drivers seat so perfect for the occasional viewing from the bench seat. Solid as a rock and above all can stay in situ with or without IPAD and does not rattle.

Mike

Great minds think alike @T6 CFO !
Picked this up for around £6 in the range and installed I. Exactly the same place as yours so I can even lie in bed and watch the IPad.

Also ran amok with the sticky hooks (though apparently I haven't put them up straight) and strung up my bunting that matches the seat image.jpeg image.jpeg blanket I made

Ridge Monkey.

Ideal for toasted sandwiches on the stove, they turn out delicious. Also has many other uses.

I got mine off eBay, standard size with implement set for just over £20.

Timpsons, well some of them will if they have the blank. Do a Google search for " VW Surf Key ".

Yep! I was told by someone in Timpsons which shop to go into in my area as only specialist ones can do it.

In the end as I have 4 keys I took a suggestion on here and took the blade out of one of them which is nice and small.

I got mine from the dealer @WelshGas. No problem at all. In fact there's a part diagram detailing the keys and locks. It's labelled no. 34 or 35 from memory ...

Timpsons keys were a tenner cheaper but to have 4 extra keys all coded and knowing that I can swim with them on: priceless.

You will all know that moment when you get into the top bed and look up to see your own little collection of flies and the odd mosquito being lit by your reading light. We got fed up smearing them on the headcloth and having to clean it up.

Enter the fly racquet zapper, very efficient at killing all your uninvited friends with no mess. We got ours in Go Outdoors but many places have them.

Yes, we have one too for the summer months, £1 in Poundland surprisingly! Works well zapping the little blighters, wasps too. :thumb
