Upgrade / change leisure battery - Volkswagen

Dear all,

I contacted "Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge" in Germany two weeks ago to complain about the insufficient and outdated battery arrangement in the Grand California and the lack of Volkswagen provided solutions.

A minute ago I got an email from "Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge":



They said:

Good day Eberhard,

Thank you for your email.

About your query if Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge plans to offer a battery update or change of the battery, I can reply that something is in planning stage.

Unfortunately I can't provide any dates.

Maybe you contact your Importeur about updated news next year.

Well, this sound, at least, a wee bit promesing. Maybe, just maybe Volkswagen really works on a more modern, more powerful, more adequate solution than the old AGM battery with misley 46 Ah of power.

One can dream....
