VW , naughty boys again.

Happy to hand our prebuilt my 16 T6 back for a new replacement.

Kinda of hope mines affected, if it means getting a free latest vehicle upgrade.
Right how do we check...?

Fingers Crossed...:D

Unlikely to use RHD vans as test mules.

Wow that's pretty shocking, my mate works at JLR and as I understand it all the test cars are crushed so they can't be resold. I've seen some gorgeous motors he has been testing, and been told they would be scrapped very soon after.

The article is from Dec 2018, so unlike to be 6.1s...
Anyway Tesla has been selling pre production Model3s too, so...

Im guessing the US will turn a blind eye to that?
well I don't thing it is against the law, it's a question of brand/company reputation. But Tesla and Elon M can get away with anything because they are "cool".

I hadn't heard of that....when did it happen?

Would have thought buyers were straight to their lawyers to get a class action suit against Tesla? :)

It was the very first batch if I remember correct. Economically at that stage I am not sure what a class action would have brought other than bringing down the then cash strapped company. With the result that you'd have a new car, from an untested company, which doesn't exists anymore/bankrupt and if you need a service or repair you can't just turn to anybody else.
I am not sure though , there was a legal case in the first place. They had a contract to buy a car , they got one. It didn't have a label with written "test vehicle" .

Small matters like bankrupting the company never seem to stop very dubious claims for damages. Thankfully most of them amount to nothing.

I recall there being production issues (shoddy builds / panels not aligning) with the Model 3, but not actually selling test mules as new vehicles.

If true, then I wonder if all manufacturers are at it then?
