What have you bought for your Cali today :-)

Well actually for free and I have to do/cut it first however "bulli hackers" offer a plan for a shoeshelf next to the passenger seat. Great idea and look forward to it!

Thanks for sharing Sapto, I was going to ask if anyone knew of a pattern. Let us know how yours goes. How are you thinking of securing it?

Fitted a couple of these Wilko utility mats https://www.wilko.com/en-uk/wilko-grey-utility-mat-60-x-100cm/p/0481027, with a cutout for the rail anchor and dog safety lead and cut to fit the right hand side. I have put these over the Brandrup carpet to protect it and avoid dirt and sand falling into the seat rails from beach and muddy walks with the kids and dog. Carpet on carpet might seem a bit overkill but this is an easier to clean option than the fitted carpet alone. Quite pleased with the result (recommended on here by another owner, sorry I forget who). The left hand mat just lifts out of way to slide the bench forward and I imagine will get used as an entrance mat on the ground when camping with the driveaway awning. Cheap as chips at a tenner each and easy to cut with a stanley knife.

Could have been me:

I just cut both mats on one side (to have one uniform look), and stuck them together underneath with tape. It allows me to fold it easily so that I can put it half for when the downstairs bed is pulled out. With a third piece I made 3 footwell mats.
They are easily washed, stains stay nearly invisible, you can simply cut them with scissors without fraying. And they are thin enough not to block the opening of the bench drawer.

These things must be flying out of the delivery vans in these
times.

I hope so :D

Harrys Garage on youtube recommended it, one of those
lockdown days that took me on a youtube rabbit hole...
This might just answer the question I’ve been meaning to ask. I have a 6.1 Ocean being delivered in April and live in a block of flats with a basement car park and no electric charging point. This forum has alerted me to the need to plug the van in at least monthly to keep the leisure battery tip top, and to allow the fridge to be switched on 24 hours before departure. Will this enable that?
If so, the question is: how do I ‘plug the van in’ and lock the CTEC inside the van to stop toe rags meddling...?

The CTEC needs plugging in though, its not a charged up charger.

Some time ago I saw that a group of "travellers" had tapped into a public street light by opening the access panel at the base of the column. It seemed to be common practice for them.

As has been said - No. As far as the fridge is concerned use some freezer blocks beforehand and pre-chill everything that's going to go into the fridge. To keep the Leisure Batteries topped up, camp on Hookup monthly, even just overnight or visit a friend with a driveway and ask them if you can plug in whilst visiting. Driving there and plugging in for a few hours would be better than nothing.

Plenty of EV charging points round here. Could I pay to use one of those?

Not bought today, but stuck a Pixer’s map of Europe on the table. Have a UK map on order for the picnic table.
Installed the UK map on the picnic table and then went for a walk up Combe Hill - beautiful today with frozen fog on the branches.
