What have you bought for your Cali today :-)

image.jpeg Not bought but given....last year at the Brean Sands meet.
Doesn't it look smart?

This week I treated myself to a bike rack. Was looking for a decent used one at first, but was shocked at the prices (turns out a VW stamps more expensive than gold). So I walked into a dealer and asked for a discount, ended up paying not much more than a second hand one, except mine has the keys and fourth bar.

Next stop new alloys and a lowering kit.

This is at the wrong end of the season, but if you've not discovered IKEA storage bags (under vacuum) fall your Cali bedding out of season, then they are fab! I'm pretty confident you can bung them in the loft without everything getting that musty smell. Can't quite get either of my zonesleeps in one.

It may have been mentioned before, but by ungainly lying on the filled bags and sealing them up, you can get 70% of the compression you'd achieve with a vacuum, so may be of use for use whilst camping if you are particularly short of space.

Which Season?

Napresso Krups Essenz coffee for hook up got an aero press for off grid. Desperately wanted a green one to go with colour scheme but was too wide at the bottom. Can’t wait to try it out

I'm breaking the rules of this thread a little as I stretch the description of today but none of my total accumulation seem that exciting.
Anyway, I have a kettle, cutlery, Ikea storage box with lid (tray), flexible chopping board (x2), anti slip rubber mating for the shelves, a toasting rack, a lighter, a gas bottle, Inka waterproof seat covers, A Cali Topper, EHU & UK adapter, skewer for the dog lead, Dash Cam & small torch.
Theres the cost of a half decent trip right there!

Ordered Brandrup cabin carpets and door step carpets seat covers all ready ordered for end of March delivery

Comforts California topper and windscreen cover winter pack from the forum shop. Hopefully will make the van more cozy

Should have added all from forum shop.... next on list is a windbreak :)

1 x universal sink plug for those campsites where the pot washing-up sink plug is either missing or ill fitting.

A lesson leaned from a recent trip.

Reminds me that I now maybe need a head torch, as holding a torch in your teeth while at an unlit pot washing facility doesn't work too well.

I like that „small“ Nesspresso one! Bought one for home and van! ATM I haven‘t got a great solution to store it so it rests in the bix behind the driverseat (LHD). How do you pack it away?

Yet to find out as waiting delivery but hope it will go beside my pans, left hand side. Will have to find alternative solution for utensils storage

Today I bought her the wrong Valentine present. I wanted to surprise her with a set of comfortable Queshua relax chairs. Since I read somewhere that the tailgate storage pocket is 84x62x12, and the Queshua's were 86cm high, I thought by chopping off 2cm from the armrest I found the 'Columbus egg'. I already removed the Polystyrene fitting... to find out the chair still stuck out by 20cm due to a metal element at the back of the pocket which made it just too narrow. I thought it was wiser to stop my adventure right here (did not want to cut the legs of the chairs like mentioned on the caliboard.de).... After some stressy moments I managed to replace the fitting, and returned the chairs....fwww.
To make it up I ordered her a chique Brandrup Mosquito screen for the sliding door. ;-)
