Where do you keep your windscreen cover?

I’ve tried using the search but every time I do I get the oops not working.

I’ve just collected the new Cali and have bought a windscreen cover. I’m sure that I’d seen or read somewhere that people keep it in with the chairs in the tailgate but there is no way it will fit in there, so where do people usually store it!

i keep my front and rear covers in with my chairs i have the rainbow covers

Just on the rear shelf, ie behind sliding seat

We put our windscreen cover and roof topper in with the chairs. Squishing them down as they slide in.

On top of my really useful boxes underneath the parcel shelf together with the solar panel

When we bought our Rainbow screen (direct from them at the NEC show), they said not to fold it up and squash in with the rear chairs. They said it will damage the stitching on the cover.

We keep ours on the back shelf in its original bag.

Having said that, we rarely use it, preferring the internal blinds which are much quicker to set up and take down. Plus, with the Rainbow cover it’s tricky to open the front doors very far, and we are always in/out of the doors storing stuff while pitched up. Taking a wet Rainbow cover off is a messy business…lol. …;-)

I think it totally depends on how thick your cover is, there are many types with more or less insulation in them and this will affect the thickness and therefore size. The size will dictate where you can put it. Mine is quite thick so no chance to fit in chairs in tailgate so it goes in the boot.

Depends on the size / thickness I guess. I've got an Olpro one which is quite big and thick but folds down nicely into it's own bag, isn't too heavy and squishes well. Generally lives in the boot under the shelf but if it's really full under there, on top of it with the softer stuff like bedding.

I have the Comfortz external cover. I separate it and store it between the tailgate chairs.

Likewise. We have the Confortz external cover (as shown on profile pic ). It does fit in between one of the chairs with a bit of practice folding and squishing to the right dimensions. We tend to keep the roof topper in the space between the other chair.

The only issue with this in colder months is that it adds to the weight of the door which in turn can make it harder for the gas struts to hold the rear door open. You may need to invest in a pole of some sort to keep the roof open in colder months anyway. We use a telescopic pint roller pole from a hardwear shop.

Thanks all. I bought the Comfortz one along with the side awnings from a forum member. I can get the awning sides in the one side of the chairs but the screen cover seems way too thick. Although I’ve not taken the chairs out the bags yet which probably doesn’t help

We have the Rainbow screens cover. Carefully undid the stitching that holds the sides to the front and now it fits in the seats. Easy to do…

I split my cover into the windscreen and cab window covers and split between both chairs, makes putting it on the van easier too.

The roof topper only comes along when im
Expecting lots of rain, and just gets slung with all the other stuff in the boot.

in the roof but will depend on thickness and what else you put up there.
