ID Buzz

LWB spotted in Germany.
There might be a problem. Will the longer proportions create a slightly odd looking vehicle?
I’ve never been a fan of the LWB transporters and always favoured the shorter vans.
Plus, how big overall will it be? The Buzz is already wider than a T6…

Its got that stretch limo vibe.

Bigger wheels and thinner rubber might help with the visuals

Two-tone option is now back on the configurator, but delivery is longer than that for a single colour. I was quoted just over a year.
The interesting thing the dealer said was that VW were considering importing single colour vehicles, then doing an official VW wrap to make two-tones. The colour range would also be extended. Replacement wrap panels would be available to facilitate repairs.
I wonder if this option might become available on Californias

Probably a good idea, having seen (youtube) some of the spray jobs Volkswagen have done. How a manufacturer can pass them off, is beyond belief.
At least with the wrap, it’s easily removed.
I would be careful about ordering two tone interior too. An all black would be much easier to live with long term.

To be fair, the all black, starlight blue and silver look pretty good on the Buzz.

Got to have a test drive today, I thought it was absolutely brilliant! Loved the smooth and effortless acceleration. It's the first time I've driven an electric vehicle so don't really have much to compare but it would leave my T6 Ocean in the dust!
I thought it felt really solid.
Plenty of room in the back with the seats folded down, could easily sleep there with a mattress.
The limited range is still a deal breaker but I'm really looking forward to see what they come up with on the camper version.

Wonder what the range is now?

I’m guessing those wheels don’t do much for the range. They look great, I guess it’s ok for the yummy mummies on the school run…

Much as our grandchildren would like their yummy grandad to pick them up from the school in the Buzz. There is no way I'm going to do battle with yummy mummies with their 4×4s, in the narrow lanes outside their school, with a vehicle that's 4" wider than a Cali.
Sorry kids, it's the 20 year old Golf still. Get in, and stop moaning, and telling me there is no room for you legs. When I was a kid ----------------.

Is the Buzz a vehicle in our life without much use ?

My mum had a ropey Mk 1 polo for the school run, not that she drove us very often.
On the odd occasion, grandad picked us up in his Ford Capri. As a council estate kid, this was akin to a Ferrari…

What’s happening with the ID Buzz these days. Anyone tried to order one…?

Considering the long wait times last year, and the over-inflated pricing. There seems to be quite a bit of stock showing on VW used. Some vans, well below the £66k original guide price…

Have Volkswagen made an almighty error with Buzz pricing? Plus news this week, they’re scaling back EV production over the summer due to customer reluctance to EV purchases…?
