Which van centre - Dundee, Perth or Edinburgh?

I live in St. Andrews, so a bit out the way. But my Cali Ocean is due it’s first service since buying it (bought from Eurovans Crawley) - and it needs a few things looking at under warranty.

Dundee is closest, followed by Perth and then Edinburgh a distant third - but having made a couple of phone calls, I’m not entirely convinced they are all as clued up as each other on California’s. Any recommendations from the hive mind as to which one I should go to, please?

It its T6.1 issues any will do if its Camper issues you need to head South along way South, probably Preston

I’ve used the Dundee Clarks a few times only for servicing been pleased no issues. I had an even rarer beast for them my Joker.
Doesn’t look like a VW garage at all but is mainly cars like Cupra

I have a T6.1Ocean and I stay in the Central Belt and I use John Clark Commercials in Edinburgh. They fitted new bellows for me under warranty, van in a couple of weeks for service. Been happy with the service received. Hopefully you get it all sorted without having to travel too far.
 
Aberdeen is an option I’ve had a bit of warrenty work done there and have been really helpful !
 
No experience of Aberdeen or Dundee but Edinburgh branch is awful, I wouldn’t go near them. I live a couple of miles from the Edinburgh one and will travel elsewhere for next service.
 
Thanks everyone, that’s great to know! I will give Dundee a shout then as it’s closest. Will report back after it’s been in :)
 
I should add - alongside the service - I’ll be getting badly leaking bellows and a broken / stuck rear climate control panel looked at

I wouldn’t go to Edinburgh. My Cali came from there. There were issues at collection that took a long time to get sorted. Dealing with them was a nightmare. They stopped selling Californias a few years ago as well. I wonder why.

We have been waiting since March for the rear climate panel to be replaced (Aberdeen). Not the best experience-my wife took the van in on the
arranged day to be told the part wasn’t in stock. They have now received parts so trying again next week!

Can’t recommend the Bailistown in Glasgow enough. Brilliant service from the team there when I needed them most. It’s a long way for you but do as part of a trip to the west coast.
 
There are two options at Edinburgh, Western VW or Clark's at Loanhead.

I've found Western very poor to deal with and have my van services done by Clarks Commercials who have been pretty good, they even do a collect and return service.

I used them on my T5.1 which I had for 10 years and now use them on my new van, I've just had my new Ocean first oil / filter change at 6K miles under the VW service plan.
 
Not had any dealings with Dundee but I would avoid the Aberdeen Clarks Commercials.
Had issues with my A/C on my SE Cali.
It's been in 3 times to finally get a diagnosis.
They do a health check each time it's in.......number of major items went from green to red in space of a month.
I don't trust them now .....using a local VW enthusiasts owned garage.
Half the price of Clarks too.

Hi Neil, I’ve got similar concerns regarding Clarkes would you mind sending me details of the garage you use please.
 
Sure no worries
I use Badentoy Garage, Portlethen Aberdeen.
They do MOTs as well, they are decent to talk to ,and as I said vw enthusiasts.
 
Update - booked into Dundee and when I told them about the warranty issues they said they’d likely want it in for around a week. Auto courtesy vehicle booked - and no complaints with service so far
