After many years with fast Golfs (GTi Mk2 GTD, GTi Mk 6 and 7.5), tent camping in the UK and Europe, but with children (now young adult) left home, it’s time for a change of scene and pace. The travel bug is still with us - but let’s do it in more comfort. That’s why we are almost certainly going for a Cali. And this Club and forum is really helping us refine and decide. Our VW Try and Buy rental is in 10 days. All being well, we’ll press the button in early September for a new Ocean.

Many thanks. Our neighbour who has a Beach advised me about this so I plugged the details in. I also tried the VW offer on Defence Discount. Both produced prices a little higher than the dealer so I’m comfortable to go ahead. I suspect I can squeeze some more, but I want to have a relationship with the dealer for the future.

4 plus years on from buying and I still ‘nip myself’ when I set off on a drive, whether an adventure for the two of us and our Labrador or just to the shops …. what a truly amazing and ultimately so liberating vehicle….. enjoy.
