Hi, new to this site, Cali ordered and should be with us by March. One thing I'd personally like to see more of is members views and recommendations on touring, campsites, locations etc. Not sure how you would break this down but at the moment from what I can see there is 1 thread on campsites with 3 posts. I would love to hear from those who have been about a bit and where is good to go.

It's pretty subjective really isn't it? Depends on where you live, how far you want to travel and what you want to do when you get there.

We tend to wild camp on the way to remoter locations and/or to get an early start on a walk etc. We use the POI locations available at http://www.wildcamping.co.uk/ to give us a lead and have found some fine places to stop 'enroute'.

If we are staying in a single spot for more than 2 or 3 nights in the UK, we tend to stay on a Caravan club site as you know you will get a good quality location and facilities (99/100 anyway!)

If we're off for a night or two, we'll stay wherever is convenient.

If we're touring, we'll just take it as we find it and haven't come unstuck so far!

We used to tour all over Europe and further afield on a motorbike and never failed to find somewhere to stop (although we did on occasions have some late nights and unusual accomodation!!)

Can't go too far wrong in a Cali in comparison.

One other thing we try and do is stay on "adult" sites during the holidays. We like kids but mostly when they're not kicking footballs and throwing sticks at the van!

Hi warnercali and welcome to the forum.

We are in the process of putting a useful links board together for the forum which will include some usefull links for sites and places of interest.

Here are a few to get you going and if you come across any good links yourself let us know and we will include them for others.

Thanks for this POI link it's just what I've been looking for.
