Are internal roof toppers the real deal? (or pants)

My Velcro has come unstuck too. Tried to replace but failed virtually immediately. Therefore it droops in a few places and it gets drafty. Would be helpful to hear suggestions on how to mend. Winters coming

Brandrup. I checked the shop and there are no fixing kits at moment. I've bought some extra strong Velcro from dunhelm to try

I'm just waiting for delivery. Is this where the Velcro attaches at the top (to the top elevated roof)?
