Exactly. The previous changes were basically opinions based on a facelift. This change is based on huge practical differences.
No issues with t6.1 199 as far as I am aware different engine to the 180The T7 Multivan really only makes sense as the hybrid in my eyes. The limitations are something I personally could accept as one man and his dog in the camper. For actual values though the T6.1 is more versatile, as has been discussed a lot.
Whether the 4WD system (I guess they’ll call it 4motion) is enough to make it robust enough off road I dunno. Can you imagine a swamper T7? (There’s pics of concepts if you search).
I’m watching prices of T6.1 4Motions right now but there’s significant numbers of comments on the T6 forum about issues with the BiTDI engines when they hit higher miles (and 4Mo only for this engine, obvs). Is it possible we’ll see a split in prices between the 150 and 204/199 Calis like we did for the 140/180 T5.1s.
Yes seen this info I believe the 2019 on wards cxeb 199ps engine is fine no real problems compared to vans sold, but how the van is driven will decide it’s future low miles short trips etc do diesel engines no good- 204ps Bi-Turbo CXEB T6 Engine & Turbo problems -
- 204ps Bi-Turbo CXEB T6 Engine & Turbo problems - Looks like im the latest patient of the CEXB engine issues. (possibly the 2016-2018 range as there is a mention that the CXEB Block etc was revised in 2019) (the CXEC 199ps Bi-Turbo was released 2019> and revised ) in sort it looks like its...www.t6forum.com

Have a look at the link(s) I posted.
I hope they have resolved it as well, because we have a 2014 4mo t6.1.It’s perhaps a little early to say for definite on the CXEC engines (T6.1). The consensus from the thread (which I link to) is that there is nothing yet reported.
I’m hoping they have resolved it as I would like a 4mo t6.1!

Future classic I think even more so with diff lockSame here. Used prices of T6.1 4 Motion seem to be very robust!

My understanding is the aluminium EGR was the root cause of some of the 180 bi turbo low compression and high oil consumption issues, some like myself had no issues even at 132k. My EGR was blanked but only at 117k so it may have been fine, I was not prepared to take the risk.
Have VW changed the potentially problematic EGR on the 204 bi turbo?
If its a 2014 van it isn't a T6.1!I hope they have resolved it as well, because we have a 2014 4mo t6.1.
We bought it as a long term keeper!!!
