Hi everyone, as newcomers to the camping/cali scene we know very few good sites, could members please try to use the "Campsite Reviews" section on this forum more often. I know there are lots of campsite review websites out there but a Cali owner might find certain sites suit the Cali perfectly or not as the case may be ( certain sites might be more agreeable to a camper van with pup tent than others for instance). With new owners joining the scene all the time recommended sites might see more Cali owners using them as meets etc. Wadda ya think? Good idea or optimistic?

I must admit i haven't noticed the camp sites review section.

I see you're in W Lancs. We stayed at Shell Island near Harlech last night, that's not too far from you, it's been on our regular stops for about 20 years, will write a review some time. It's "the largest camp site in Europe", camper vans and camper only, no caravans :D, and end of season they have a great fireworks display. Great place for a Cali meet!

Excellent, we are down in Aberdovey end of the month and looking for NorthWales stopovers on the way back, see some castles etc.
Let's all make an effort to rate the places we stop at, good or bad so we can spend our time and money wisely.

Plenty of Castles in North Wales! Aberdyfi is one of our favourite places, not commercialised like Tywyn just up the road. Park up in the car park right next to the beach and spend the day relaxing or walking, plenty of eating places. We are always somewhere around, will keep an eye out for your Cali ..
