Things to get checked before warranty expires

I very much doubt it unless a specific battery fault was shown and that would probably have been very early on in the warranty.
Not long after buying our 2014 T5 from VW Llandudno Junction this time last year I queried the battery indicator dropping to 70% quite quickly while it was in for a replacement sliding window above the sink. When I went back to pick the van up they'd run some checks on both leisure batteries and decided the rear one was not 100% and replaced it free of charge. While the van was covered by the 12 month DasWelt for 2nd hand vehicles it was out of the VW 3 year warranty by then; either way I was surprised they replaced the battery for free like that on a >3 year old van and suspect it was basically a good will gesture.

Yes I know the recommendation is replace both batteries at the same time but I'm not complaining and they've been good since....
