from Brittany ferry site: Covid-19 travel restrictions and entry requirements have been removed from all our destinations

Whether you are entering or departing France, Spain, the UK or Ireland, you do not need to provide proof of vaccination or recovery, a negative Covid-19 test result or any forms and documentation related to Covid-19 travel restrictions, no matter your vaccination status.

May not be strictly true for Spain, see https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/spain/entry-requirements
Issued yesterday by UK Government.
Thanks for pointing this out.
From the Spanish government site : Spain Travel Health –SpTH– and the associated form are no longer needed.
However ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR SPAIN (updated September 19, 2022) still require Proof of vaccination or Negative COVID test or Proof of recovery from COVID

So somewhat confusing.

I spoke to Brittany Ferries today, given the apparent contradiction particularly relevant to my wife and me as un-jabbed. They were confident that their website was correct (the matter was referred to senior management to check), based on direct advice they had received from relevant authorities and the two government websites (UK & Spain) needed updating.

But we will see.

FYI here is the link to the UK Government travel web page https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice

Make of it what you will for where ever you may be traveling to. You can get personal email updates for countries of your choosing.

No checks when we entered France recently, even our milk, cheese and ham got through :) :)
Before anybody shouts, it was just a few ‘just in case’ supplies for the first day or two. We’re now fully stocked with wonderful French grub. Mind you, the cheese has stunk out the fridge!!

Yes, I understand that Rod - most of us know that UK gov website I am sure - and there have additionally been recent announcements from the Spanish Government extending their controls until November, but - as I posted above - Brittany Ferries is saying these are to be superseded shortly.

We will see.

There are some very odd differences between for example Netherlands and Germany. And not so long ago Austria, where I am now, was going to fine un-jabbed 3,000€, now anyone wearing a mask is an oddity (quite righty I suggest, since they do nothing except worsen your health a bit, perhaps like the jabs). Things change fast, it could be the wrong way next - though I sincerely hope not.

Now Netherlands has dropped all restrictions, and that is according to the official gov website:

but the Spanish section remains unchanged:

despite Brittany Ferries advice:

We flew to Spain last week and they are still checking the SpTH apps to verify you're either vaccinated or 'recovered'.

That said, they didn't scan the QR codes, they just were happy with us showing that we had it out ready to show them.

Bear in mind though that this was at an airport with mostly international flights at that terminal. At a land border with France I suspect it may be different.

Hope this helps

Interesting, we flew to Seville from London a few weeks ago and there were no Covid checks on anybody at the airport. However, we had previously uploaded our certificates as part of the required API.

Interesting feedback.

Spain does seem the odd man out, currently.

If travelling to Spain pack masks, as they are still worn in taxis and on public transport. Sept22

I travelled 3 times to Greece at the height of Covid.... never got checked for anything, going or coming back..

Entering Spain at Bilbao on ferry no requests to see COVID vax status but raining as normal!
