Thanks!Love the licensplate for sure ;-)
for me it is about less is more --- less clutter and easier to clean. It is a personal choiceA SE or Ocean (or Coast) is to recognize from every side you look at it so de-badging to go undercover is useless.
As i typed above "personal choice " from Davefor me it is about less is more --- less clutter and easier to clean. It is a personal choice
Brilliant. He'll look after you well.Love the yellow. I wanted it but my wife wanted to "play safe" with blackberry so that was my compromise in the deal. BTW Dave, on your recommendation was up at Preston yesterday. What a nice chap Guy is.
No de-badged factory option is either engine or engine and Cali. Beach or ocean will still be on.hi davey nice truck .... if u have it de badged do u loose the beach or Ocean on the side or have u done this yourself ? cheers
You found me out!Colour is a personal choice. Choose whichever you want and enjoy it.
De-badging and personal number plates I personally cannot see the point. Seems like someone with something to hide.
So here is a picture of my van.
The yellow colour seems to be a love or hate thing.
Also the de-badging seems to stir up BIG emotions aswell.
So what about you? What do you think?
Also have you made any colour or option choices that seem to divide opinion strongly?

I've been thinking about the b-pillar too.Debadged and yellow is what we are going for too. I just don't get the California name, and I certainly can't see any purpose in carrying around the engine details. We will probably back out the B pillar.
I've been thinking about the b-pillar too.
I think it's really clear what the vehicle is. It's a big yellow camper van that says VW on the front and back. Not ashamed of the name as some might think or wanting to go stealth (hard in a yellow van!) just think it looks better.
Also asked about the B Pillar - i swear when we ordered the chrome pack wasn't on the options list. Guy quoted us but said he and the dealership wouldn't feel comfortable doing it due to the potential for doing it wrong and recommended we approach a bodyshop. That's definitely put me off buying the sticker and doing it myself.
I think it is really nice. Unusual. And de-badging, makes it look clean and tidy.So here is a picture of my van.

Hi Rob.Did you spec those Devonports or were they a swap? My Beach will be arriving with default Claytons but I can't decide whether to swap them, and to what. I've nothing against Claytons but I think 17" wheels look better proportioned (16" wheels being too rubbery!) I quite like the understated design of Devonports.
Also how easy was it to remove the awning and were any holes left behind. I've no plans to remove mine, I'm just curious.
Haha. You're joking yeah?I'm always wary of anyone with a de-badged car........trying to be something they are not??
